Welcome back to 2015 at the Waverley Montessori Preschool. We had a busy end to 2014 and an even busier start to this year as we have a bunch of fresh and eager little Montessorians in our classroom. I just want to say a big thank you to all the new mums as they work with us to ensure their children are adjusting to the new environment and getting the most out of the Montessori way. We have a fun bunch of children this year which will surely make the next year very exciting for us teachers!

Last week we had the delight to celebrate one of my favourite day in the year – Mothers Day. This is a special day where everyone is able to show their love and appreciation to their mother for everything they do throughout the year. This year the Montessorians made their mothers a present that will surely get used – who doesn’t love some time to relax! We had a little incursion at the preschool where the children were taught how to make their own unique, handmade bath bombs and soaps for their mothers.

They were able to share their present with their mothers on our Mothers Day morning where the children and mothers enjoyed each others companies and hopefully indulged in some nice hearty pies! This was also a great morning for older and newer mothers to mingle with the staff and meet other mothers. Our Montessorians also put on an impromptu performance for the mothers by singing their favourite songs they have learnt this year.

We hope every mother had a lovely Mothers Day and felt appreciated and special!

Now that we are back in the swing of things at the Waverley Montessori Preschool, we hope to update this blog much more often so please don’t forget to check it out every few weeks!

Take care,

Mrs. Zarine
