The children have a look at the big, white wall and begin planning out their painting.
First, they started with laying down a bright, green base followed by some very sturdy trees!
Next stop was the leaves and flowers.
The children got creative with the trees and butterflies so our wall looked very bright!
Don’t forget the sun(s). And there we’re done!
Last Friday, ten children from the Waverley Montessori Preschool were offered the opportunity to paint a wall at the Monash Children’s Hospital. We got to choose a theme and after talking with the children, we decided that bright and colourful rainforest it would be!
A big thank you to the Monash Hospital for giving us this opportunity. Thank you to the children who did a terrific job with the painting and the parents for helping with the supervising. And finally a huge thank you to all the parents and children of the Waverley Montessori Preschool whose accommodating attitude and cooperation made this happen!
Our wall looked very bright by the end of the day! A very well-done to the four-year olds who did an amazing job.
Also, a quick update that next week I will be shaving my hair to raise funds for the Monash Health Foundation. Thank you to all the families who have donated to the cause. We are still taking donations and if you would like to support us, please click here to donate or share the word!
